1. Overview

MinuteKeep ("the App") is a meeting minutes application that records audio, transcribes speech using AI, and generates structured summaries. This Privacy Policy describes how your data is collected, used, and stored.

The App is operated by GenbaCompass (Ryota Kokubu, individual developer).

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect: personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or analytics data. The App does not require user account creation or login.

3. Third-Party Services

OpenAI API

Audio data and transcription text are sent to OpenAI's API for processing (transcription via gpt-4o-mini-transcribe / gpt-4o-transcribe, summarization via GPT-4.1, embeddings via text-embedding-3-small).

Per OpenAI's API Data Usage Policy (effective since March 2023): Data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI models. Data is retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted.

RevenueCat

In-app purchase management is handled through RevenueCat. Only purchase-related data (product ID, transaction status) is processed. No personal information is shared.

4. Data Storage & Security

All user-generated content (recordings, transcriptions, summaries, chat history, embeddings) is stored exclusively on your device using localStorage and IndexedDB.
We do not operate any server that stores your data.
Audio data is transmitted to OpenAI API via encrypted HTTPS connection for processing, then discarded from our application immediately after receiving the response.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete individual meetings within the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data.

There is no server-side data to delete, as we do not retain any user data on our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

MinuteKeep is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can:

View all stored data within the App
Delete individual meeting records
Delete all data by uninstalling the App

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
